District Assessment: Snack Time

I shot outside in my back yard, as the windows in my house didn't provide enough natural light. To optimize the photo below, I went through the basic procedure of adjusting the levels, brightness, saturation, and contrast, then burned around the edges as they were somewhat overexposed. I cropped and sharpened last, to make sure the apple fell along the third line intersection the way I wanted it to. From this assignment I learned more about what techniques are used for different types of photos, such as food photography, as well as the value of using natural light.
