Perspective
Elements we focused on: perspective (angles with effects)
I chose to take pictures of the Seattle Winterfest toy village exhibit for a few reasons: first, the village provided a large variety of scenes to photograph. Second, most people see the village from one perspective-- the outside, not leaned over or from where a camera can get-- so I was able to get shots of things from more unnatural angles.
I like how small the bridge in the photo below looks; regular bridges are too big to get that kind of view of them, so seeing the toy one is somewhat unique. To optimize, I fixed the levels, adjusted saturation, hue, brightness, and contrast, and then burned areas that were too bright (such as the wreath).
This assignment taught me photos from unlikely places can be much more interesting, as well as helped me understand the use of some of my camera settings (he miniaturization feature was very helpful!)
